Setup Guide

Choose your device below. Most setups take under 30 seconds. You'll need the Private DNS hostname from your dashboard.

Android 9 and above natively supports Private DNS (DNS-over-TLS). This is the simplest setup — one setting, and all traffic on the device is filtered. Works on Wi-Fi and mobile data.

1

Open your DNS hostname

Log into your ArmorDNS dashboard and copy the Private DNS hostname for your device.

Your Private DNS hostname
your-token.dns.armordns.com(from your dashboard)
2

Open Private DNS settings

On your Android device, go to:

Settings → Network & Internet → Private DNS

Some manufacturers put this in a different location. If you can't find it, search “Private DNS” in your Settings search bar.

3

Enter your hostname

Select “Private DNS provider hostname” and paste the hostname from your dashboard.

Tap Save.

4

Verify it's working

Open your browser and visit any website. Then check your ArmorDNS dashboard — you should see queries appearing in your log within a few seconds.

Tip: If the connection fails, make sure you copied the full hostname with no spaces. Some Android keyboards add a space after pasting — delete any trailing spaces.
